This pretty little thing was gotten in The West Bottoms! I wasn't sure at first, but am sooo glad I got it. Underneath that greenish color was a beautiful old dresser. Put together so well! And after taking time to strip, sand, stain and poly. . . . . she is just beautiful! Look at those rounded corners on that top drawer!

productive. . . . .
Remember when I redid the long dresser for Michele's new BIG tv?? Well. . . . Look what I did for Marley girl! On our last trip to The West Bottoms Jessica seen one of these, but it was painted hot pink. We thought it was so cute but when we went back it was already sold. Sooooo. . . . .this is Marley girls' new day hangout in the family room. And it fits in as the finish matches the tv stand.

And those shelves we built for my 'craft corner'. . . . here it is. I FINALLY put my supplies away. And I love it!! <3 <3 My metal banner was of course bought in The West Bottoms. I originally had it hanging in my bathroom, but then thought it fit in better here. And the plus was I could use it to magnet those cute little cases too. I will put little buttons, brads n stuff in them.
And this morning. . . . I've already been busy out in the shed.
Imagine this. . . . . .
Bathroom vanity. . . . made into nightstands. . .
I'll let you know how this one turns out!! :-)

my michele. . . .
is home this weekend. It has been so nice having her here. I don't realize how quiet it is till it is not. She has been all over the place. Roger and her even had time for some 'washers' this afternoon. It was so nice to hear the laughing between them. I spent most of my weekend working on a couple projects. One is finished. . . .

Yesterday Mom, Dad, Courtney and Cody came up. Dad and Roger wired some plug in's in the garage. Aunt Sharon has given me a small refrigerator to put out there. My Humira has to be kept cold, so we had concerns what we could do if I couldn't be here and it was delivered. I do have to say I feel much better about it knowing there is a place for it to go.

latest. . . .
I bought this coffee table from a lady in town for $20.00. And Roger's question was. . . . Why? I didn't know why. It was a good deal! A very heavy/solid piece of furniture. Now it is in my living room. And I'm LOVING it!! What next??

outhouse. what??
This last September the yearly Ummel Reunion was out here. We called it Ummel West. :-) And if you remember, I made signs out of wood that we got off the Ummel homestead. At the reunion, we used these as prizes. Of course we took requests so everyone that wanted one could get the wood too. I had made one for Michele, but Jessica was just not interested in the sign. But we did use the wood to make her something. And cute it is!! A magnetic dry erase board with the wood framing it. Gonna be a good place for the grocery list! The wood is from the outhouse. And if you think that is funny. . . . You should know that the outhouse door is in my back yard!

Remember that dresser we got for Michele's tv? The one
that wasn't big enough? Yep. That one. Well, this is now the one. :-)
And what a steal it was!! Looked pretty yucky when we got it. A little
cleaning up. Sanded. Stained. And painted. It took a while to get what I
wanted, but in the end. . . . I love it. Now I just hope the girls like
it! Just remember the the turquoise is brighter in the picture because
of my camera flash.

After. . . . Used hickory gel stain. Then painted the base red over the stain. |
Took an old motel door and made it into a headboard. You can't see it in this picture, but it is room 33. |
