quiet. . . . .

This morning there were sooo many pictures on facebook from the "first day of school". So fun to look at. But yet. . . . it makes our house seem so quiet. I remember those pictures. And those pictures seem so long ago. Time sure goes fast!

Yesterday was my checkup at The Breast Center. Not great news, but not bad. Which is what we want!!  Lump #1 that was biopsied 4 months ago is now gone. Yea! #2 is now a tad bit smaller. And #3 is now the one we are watching. It is now forming debree like #1 had originally. But this one they can see much better on the ultrasound. And they feel very comfortable watching it for awhile.

So. . . . . . all is good!

ain't she pretty??

This pretty little thing was gotten in The West Bottoms! I wasn't sure at first, but am sooo glad I got it. Underneath that greenish color was a beautiful old dresser. Put together so well! And after taking time to strip, sand, stain and poly. . . . . she is just beautiful! Look at those rounded corners on that top drawer!

weekend visitors. . . . .

Michele and Nick visited this weekend. Michele had her 5 year high school reunion and she brought her boyfriend home for his first visit to her home west. A busy, but relaxing weekend. And Roger had the weekend off!! :-) It was really nice to get to spend this time with them and get to know Nick a little better. Between the reunion and the browsing around, they kept pretty busy. But we also had time for the usual gun shooting and our "redneck" golf. :-) Even a quick trip to Hays to Home Depot and a snow cone for the road. I LOVE snow cones. Or basically anything icy!

I even tried a new crock pot chicken and noodles recipe. And oh my goodness was it good! We will for SURE be having this again!! Mmmmmm. . . . . mmmmm. . . . good!
