Wonderful......

What a wonderful weekend we had! Jessica and Gabe was so much fun! Michele added her laughs too! And it was such a beautiful day to be outside!!!! Yesterday we kept busy... or at least for a little while. Jessica cleaned the inside of her car. Michele also cleaned and washed her car. Then Jessica and I raked up the winter leftovers from the front yard. Gabe helped too as he put it. He kept looking "pretty". Men! Then when Roger got home the guys fixed a tire on the truck. Not sure if they both fixed the tire, but they were both out there. Was just a relaxing weekend at home with all my chicks in the nest. We won't see Jessica now till the end of March when we go to Topeka to move her and Allison into their new house. She has 3 Men and a Truck to help...... yeah for Roger and Gabe. They are gonna get out of carrying all the heavy stuff. Hopefully it will be an easy move.

Been OuTSiDe??

Oh my gosh! Have you been outside today?? BEaUtIfUL!!! I can't believe how beautiful it is. What a nice day to have off. I have soooo much to get done. But, just having a little troubles even getting started. You would think I'd learn. Oh wells! It will get done when it gets done. :-) My Michele was so sweet! She offered to go to the grocery store for me on her way home so I didn't have to go. I'm so grateful! The last thing I wanted to do on my day off was go to the grocery store. And I'm sure the kids want to eat this weekend!!!

Luke is BACK in jail AGAIN! The unit came in this morning across the road to set pipes for the oil well. Lots of things going on over there. He sure wasn't very happy. But we don't need him getting ran over. So, for the time being he will be in jail until they are gone.

Yep! Deep subject! I am so HaPpY for our neighbors! The end of last year they drilled an oil well not far from us. Three weeks ago they drilled down the road and hit a dry hole. Two weeks ago they drilled across the road and hit oil. Last week they drilled right off of interstate.... and you guessed it. The hit oil AGAIN! Three out of four! Sounds like they are gonna be drilling an offset from this last one next. Then the rig is going about 2 hours north. But.... they will be back. Maybe two more around here after that. Seems we are "swimming in oil". hehe

Onto other business.... :-) I'm SOOOOOOO excited! Jessica and Gabe are coming home this weekend to visit. And Michele had already planned to come home. The house will be full! I had meetings yesterday in Garden City, so my day off this week is..... FRIDAY!!! Just MAJOR bonding this weekend! I can't wait to spend this time... do nothing... go nowhere........ gotta love it!

Tuesday..... again!

Yep...... it is Tuesday again! Yeah!! But tomorrow is Wednesday and it is back to work. I feel like I got a lot accomplished today, but yet nothing at all. Roger and I had dentist appointments this morning. Then I had an appointment with the back doctor. After that I met the owner of a house that Michele and roommates are thinking of renting. And then I went to meet Mom, Dad, Charlene and Michele for dinner at Thirstys. After a deposit (as Roger says) to Wal-Mart I headed home. Gosh I just hate buying groceries! But somebody has to do it.... might as well be me. Now Jorge and I are snuggled up on Roger's recliner. Suppose I should be thinking of supper. Hmmmm....... what to fix???

UGGGggggg!

Are we gonna sleep or not?? Uggggg! There is an oil rig right across the road from my house. And I'm betting is is less than 500 feet from my bedroom. Last week it was down the road and we heard it. So I'm guessing we will be getting little sleep the next few days while they are drilling. It would be better if it was on our land....but no. Oh wells!

So much to do... so little time to get it done...

My day off!!! I'm really loving Tuesdays. I got a "little" extra shut eye this morning. Now I'm getting a LOT done. I've got a pile by the door to give to Michele. Her and a friend are coming to WaKeeney tonight for a basketball game. So I'm meeting them there. On Friday Michele is going to Topeka. Then her and Jessica are off for Jenna's wedding. Jessica is the Maid of Honor. So there is a pile for Michele to give to Jessica too. Feels like I'm cleaning house..hehe. Then I've got the box for LaDonna and Logan ready to mail this afternoon. I soooooo hope that they like their throw quilts!!! My to do list has a few more little things to work on in the days to come and then I'd like to start another throw quilt. Hmmmmmmm........... what to do next????

DaRLing!!!

For Christmas I made Charlene a rag quilt. It turned out cute enough that I decided to make my cousin LaDonna one. LaDonna found out she had breast cancer right around the same time Roger's Mom found out she had lung cancer. So I was on the hunt for breast cancer awareness material. I originally was going to make LaDonna a regular size quilt, but then I came up with a great idea. How about making two throw quilts. One for LaDonna and one for her daughter Logan. Soooo...... that is what I did. I'm really happy with how they turned out. The pictures are of Logan's throw. Just so CUTE!!!

TGIF!

Thank goodness it is FRIDAY!!! The week is OVER! I was beginning to think it was like the energizer bunny. Just keeps going... going...and going. When I got off work tonight I decided to make my Wal-Mart run. I was going to go in the morning, but just decided that I wanted to get my running around done. And then I'm going NOWHERE!It is sounding like we are going to get some MORE snow Sunday into Monday. This winter has been just CRAZY! Talk about extreme! Oh well.... it is Kansas. I'm thinking that if it is suppose to snow, well... BRING IT ON! Maybe... just maybe... the snow will be too deep for me to get to work on Monday. In my dreams, I know. My plans for the weekend are the usual cleaning and washing. But I also want to get my "little" project done.... hehe. When I do, I will post a picture so you can see. Have a GREAT weekend!!! :-)
