So very blessed. . . . . .

I spent most the last week in Topeka.  Mostly at M's.  She had asked me to come and help her paint/faux  finish her garage.  It turned out so good!  :-)  But boy was the week busy!!  And we couldn't have asked for better weather for painting.  We were so blessed!!

~ M and I both ended up with a little food poisoning.  Boo.

Before. . . .

Before. . . .

After. . . .

After. . . . We painted/glazed the doors to look like wood.  They turned out sooooo good!  We also painted/glazed the front door to match.

Next on M's list is a new front screen door.  What a difference that will make.  She is loving having a home to work on!  Today she was working on the door that goes into the house from the garage.  I think she is going to glaze it too and make it look like the front door and the garage.  Then she is going to repaint the side and back trims around the windows and paint the doors.  You can't tell from this picture, but the house has a walk out basement.  So Nick is going to have to get out the ladder.  Can't wait to see when the other three sides are done.  Nick is also building a Morton building in the back.  They are busy beavers!!

weekend fun. . . . :)

It is so fun when my girls come home!  Love that they have grown and have their own lives.  But sure do miss our time with them!  Jessica, Gabe, Marley and Michele got in late Friday night.  Saturday was a visiting day.  Glada and Audrey came for supper.  Then early Sunday after noon Jessica, Gabe and Marley headed back to Topeka.  The time goes by soooo fast!  Michele took a week of vacation so she stayed behind.  So then of course there had to be some shooting.

Monday after I got off work Michele and I headed to my Mom and Dad's.  My Dad had a knee replacement the week before so we thought we would check in and spend the night on our way to Topeka.  If you know my Mom, she LOVES her clocks.  And she loves a clock that dings.  So when this clock dinged at 11pm Michele wasn't a happy camper.  Can you tell where this is??  Haha.  She put the clock in the garage. . . . . in Grandma and Grandpa's car.  (guess you had to be there)

New York/Reno. . . .

Of all our 'visitors' this was a first.  The first to want to give Roger money for just doing what we do best.  And a first of coming back the next day with a thank you.  It has actually been a while since we have had any 'visitors'.  So long that when Roger popped in the front door and said. . . "Guess What? We have visitors."  I wasn't even sure who it was.  Didn't even cross my mind it could be travelers.  They had just moved from New York City to Reno.  This trip was driving a little two seater sports car to their new home.  And the radiator blew.  They asked for help to get it towed back to Hays.  Of course they wouldn't know that they would probably get better service going thru a shop in our little town.  Roger called and they came.  The car was fixed and they were back on the road by 11:15 am Friday morning.  After they were said and gone I told Roger I need to start taking pictures of all our 'visitors'.  It could make a great scrapbook to look back on.  :-)

ouchie. . . . .

Seems like I have had migraines my whole life.  I can remember back to when I was in grade school.  I was in my bedroom.  In bed.  The lights off.  My head covered.  And my Dad opened the door to see if I was going to eat supper.  And THAT smell of fried hamburgers!  Let's just say what was in my stomach wasn't any longer.

Jessica has them.  Michele has them.  My Mom has them.  Courtney has them.  And I'm sure there are many more family members that have them.

Mine usually run for at least three days.  Yesterday was day three for me.  Let's just say I didn't make it to work.  I can really see how people get hooked on prescription drugs.  Mine would be Zomig.  It is wonderful for migraines.  My only problem is my pharmacy regulates how many you get per month.  And for me it is not near enough.  So I keep them for when I can't take it any longer.  The rest of the time I try everything and anything.

I've tried peppermint essential oil.  I can't say it was a miracle.

Over the counter migraine medicines. . . . . not for me.

Ibuprofen with caffeine. . .  ummmmmm no.  If this worked I'd never have a headache.

I've decided to Pinterest  'headache relief '~~~~

~I think I'm going to try this. . . . . . I'll let you know. :-)

Does anyone have a remedy?  I'd really like to hear of hints!!
Please.
