Cody. . . . track @ Russell

Last Tuesday Mom, Dad, Courtney and I went to Russell to watch Cody throw.  The wind was blowing, but otherwise was a beautiful day.  Great job Cody!  Can't wait till the next time we can go watch.

growing. . . .

I've just finished two more growth charts.  How funny! Two different people with the same last name.  :-)  I decided to go wider with these.  That way there was room for the writing going down them.  And I do have to say I'm in love!  They were both stained the same.  The lighting must have really been different when I took the pictures.  The true color is the first picture.

M.o.v.i.n.g d.a.y

Well. . .  . . the divorce is final.

This last weekend we got everyone moved.  We couldn't have done it without all the help of Jessica and Gabe's friends.  Nick and Michele also worked their behinds off! And a big pat on the back to Roger!  We needed a great supervisor! Jorge, Marley and I. . . .well. . . .we worked some. Somebody had to be the boss.

Jessica and Gabe are now moved into their new town home.  And Michele. . . well her stuff is being stored at one of Nick's friends parents.  And she is camping out at her friends till her and Nick close on their house.  So many exciting things are happening for The Ummel's! Our next trip will be after Michele and Nick close on their house.  Michele has a list of furniture that we need to take back.  Then we will be able to check out the new house.  :-)  And by then Jessica and Gabe should be all settled.  So I'm excited to see the finished product.

This next month Roger and I are going to be working on the honey do's.  Memorial weekend Roger is having a Cousin Reunion for on his Mother's side of the family.  The Ummel side has a family reunion E.V.E.R.Y. single year.  Isn't that great!!  So it will be nice to see the other side of the family.  I don't think this has happened since Roger and I got married.  I can't even remember when my cousins and I have gotten together.

Sometimes we get busy with our own lives and forget that family is all we have.

Topeka. . . .

What a B.U.S.Y.  weekend!  Lots to do with so little time to do it in!

Saturday morning started out with Michele and Nick looking at another house. . . . . AND making an offer! How exciting.  By the end of Sunday. . . . they negotiated and offer accepted!!

Then we were off to our paint class with Junque in my Trunk.  Karen is a distributor for The American Paint Company and sells her products and painted items in the NOTO district at Pinkadilly.  She is the sweetest and man she knows her paints.  The class was an express class on the paints and techniques to use them and the waxes.  I even got to quiz her on my trim I'm refinishing.  I just can't seem to get it to look like I want.  She suggested some great ideas!!  I guess you would say I'm self taught on my paining.  Once I have some "extra" time, I hope to be able to go to one of her Beginners classes.  I just find it all so exciting!!

Next on the list was the photographers. . . . . Checked off the list!

And then to the bridal shop!

After several hours. . . . yes. . . . several hours {and this is not our first visit} bridesmaids dresses are ordered.  And Jessica has said YES to the dress!  What a great feeling to have this done and ordered.  And what great bonding time these girls had.  Just too bad her last bridesmaid could not make it as she lives in Oklahoma.

We finished the weekend with a very beautiful church service where Jessica got baptized at their church in Topeka.

After visiting a little more it was time for me to hit the road to the west.  Jessica was on her way back to the bridal store to verify some sizes.  And Michele was taking a load of her belongings to Nick's mothers to store until they get moved into their new house.

What a busy month!  Next trip to Topeka is MOVING weekend for BOTH the girls.  We will be soooo happy when that is over.  Just around the corner! Yiyiyi!

Exciting things are happening for The Ummel's!
