The Valentine holiday came and went. And that is way okay. I am not much of a holiday person. I like Thanksgiving. I like Easter. But the gift giving holidays are a bunch of. . . . banana's! As the years have gone by I think people in general just treat it as "getting stuff". And I just can't like it.
We didn't celebrate the holiday as Roger has been sick. He caught a nasty cold the end of January. It took a pretty good toll on him and stayed with him for quite a while. And just as he was getting over the nasty cold he got the flu.
This is the guy who never gets sick.
This is the guy who NEVER stays home from work!
Well this guy did get sick and he DID stay home from work.
And this is the guy who ASKED if I could make him an appt. with the Doctor.
Our Doctor said. . . . "The good news this isn't in your chest. (Even though his chest feels like it was about to explode.) The bad news is you have influenza."
Well crap! Since Roger works alone he was told he can go to work when he feels up to it. If he worked with others he was to be required to stay home.
We had plans to leave for Topeka tomorrow. :(
Plans for Roger to get fitted for his tux for Wedding #1.
Plans to see the bridesmaids try on dresses for Wedding #2.
Now I'm sad. But you do what ya gotta do. And by no means do we want to share this anymore than we have too. Our girls are saving their days off from work for honeymoons.
So far. . . . knock on wood. . . . all I have gotten is a little ole cold. The Doctor checked me out too. I'm suppose to take extra vitamins. Get plenty of rest. And if it doesn't get better in a few days or gets worse I'm to call and get medicine. (Crappy RA can get ya every time.)
. . . . . maybe Roger will feel well enough to hang my chandelier in my bathroom. . . . {wink} {wink} I can't wait to show the after pictures!!!
