just can't imagine.....

I have something pretty weird to share. Yesterday at lunch one of my co-workers was sharing one of her families most favorite meals.  drum roll ...............................  dumplings and watermelon. YES... that is correct. She makes dumplings and then they put the watermelon on top. Mix it up..... and eat it. I just can't think that would be good. Another just can't imagine....... At Dr. Locke's funeral his family was talking of one of his favorite's. A glass of popcorn with milk poured on it. His son said..... don't say yuck until you have tried it. HMMMM.......

PS..... The tooth was not so bad. Actually it only took the dentist about 30 seconds to get the tooth pulled. Was really sore for the first couple days and I wasn't feeling the greatest. But I'm feeling much better and obviously it is a little tender, but healing quite nicely. The next step..... an implant. :-)

Fun day Sunday......

Such a nice Sunday! My Mom and Dad came up for a visit. They brought me my Mother's Day present. A BIG strawberry pot. (I pulled 3 strawberries off it tonight!!) Mom is getting so tired of being inside!!! Can't say I don't blame her. She has an appointment on Thursday, so we'll see if the first boot will come off or not. Hopefully so!!!

We had such a nice visit!! Just sat and talked. We skyped Michele and got to talk to her, Jessica & Gabe. Mom really enjoyed seeing the girls and getting to see their new place. I think we got her hooked!! She wants one for her computer now!! :-) Roger bbq'd supper. Then Mom and I sat on the front porch in the rockers. Dad and Roger did some shooting with Dad's new gun. Boys will be boys!!! Just a great way to end the weekend!!

Tomorrow morning I have a dentist appointment. I have this tooth that has no roots and is embedded in the bone and needs to come out. Have to be honest....... kind of has me worried. I'll let you know........

Bambi.....

Yes.... Bambi decided to try to visit today. She decided to try to come through a couple windows at the hospital, one being our office, but was unsuccessful! Thank goodness!!!!  After seeing the blood and fur on the windows and also on the sidewalk, I think we were very lucky the windows didn't break.

Michele applied and got a job at Office Depot. She will be working in their technology department. A good starting place.............. considering she is still a full time student. Way to go girl!

Welcome to Topeka Michele.....

Saturday morning we left "bright and early" for Topeka. Roger driving the pickup with a u-haul. Michele, Jorge and I in her car following a little later. Michele is now a resident of the city of Topeka. Hard to believe that BOTH my girls are on the other side of the state. This is going to take some adjusting.... not only for them, but for Mom and Dad too. 

Block party????? Well...... kind of! Saturday evening it started storming. Tornado sirens going off everywhere. To say the least, we ended up watching several funnel clouds go right over the girls new house. So, yes, there was a block party. And what a great way to meet the neighbors!

Thursday morning Michele and I headed to Wichita where we met up with Jessica at Jenny's house. Taylor and Haylee were not out of school yet, so we got to just sit and visit. We then went to a deli for supper and  it was off to the Tim McGraw concert. The opening acts were The Band Perry and Luke Bryan. Our tickets were right near center stage. They would not let me take my camera into the arena as it had a detachable lens. I was told that I could take professional pictures and then sell them. Gosh darn it!!!! But Jessica did get some pretty awesome pictures. Way to go! ....... And Michele...... she....... A.L.M.O.S.T ....... touched Tim's hand. Soooooo close!

Cara.....

Yesterday Glada, Roger, Michele & I made a trip to Dennis & Vicki's.  Their 3rd child graduated from Valley Center High School. It was a very quick trip, but what a nice time we had. Just wish we could have visited longer.

Congrats Cara!! Good luck next year!!

Mom went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday. No surgery right now, but will see again in 2 weeks. . . .  Did end up with two walking casts. YEP! She has TWO bummed ankles!
